on an almost-related note:

the last essay is incredible, as are "day I got cookie," the narrative about a Christmas tree burning down, and a story about being backstage at a Michael Jackson concert.

the title of the nas album was changed primarily because universal wouldn't release it as 'nigger.' this was, more than anything else, because the state of new york currently has $84 million invested in vivendi and UMG (in addition to $2.8 billion invested in major media outlets) and hakeem jeffries made a push to have the money withdrawn if the album was released with its original title. hooray for major labels receiving government subsidies and completely misguided censorship.

what an awesome looking burger.
I feel of astronomy the same way I feel about fireworks; they're neat to look at for a minute or two.

I had a dream last night that you hooked up with my boss.

I've also seenheard of that creation before... I had originally heard of it as being the Krispy Creme burger that they'd serve at a minor league stadium in Kansas City or something. Suffice to say I can think of few ways to induce a hypochondriac's heart attack than eating one of those in 100 degree KC heat. I hope to never see one in person.

That's a Luther burger. It's named after Luther Vandross, who rather loved them, and does indeed consist of meat served in a glazed doughnut.
